Every project begins with a thorough consultation, this is a required step for all of our design clients! Our consultations are up to two hours long and very interactive. We like to get to know you and understand your likes and dislikes, and the overall goals you have for your home or business.

Proposal
Once the consultation is complete you can expect a design proposal that will outline what your project needs are in an easy to digest scope of work. The proposal will detail how many design hours are estimated for your project and present you with a cost breakdown of your design and project management services!

Welcome packet
You will be presented with a welcome packet! The welcome packet will outline our entire design process and our policies. This is a great tool that you can look through before your project gets started, use as a reference guide during the design process, and reference throughout your renovation! This is an easy to digest guide that was made with care and concern for our clients needs.

Meetings with contractors & field measurements
If your project requires you to work with a contractor and you would like us to assist you with project management we require a meeting with your selected contractor. This meeting is essential so that we can meet and discuss your project with the contractor to make sure we are all on the same page and we can outline timeline and important dates for your project. I also always get my own measurements to ensure that everything is lining up with the contractor and so that I can create any necessary renderings for the project.

For many of our projects we create idea boards to help you nail down a design direction for the space, once one is approved we create a concept board that outlines and displays all of the materials that will be used in your project! This helps the client visualize how all of the various pieces of the project will come together. If your project requires renderings and floor plans those will be provided along with the concept board as well!
Design boards & floor plans
Amy Cortell Interiors will be with you through every phase of the design and renovation until your project is complete. We oversee various administrative aspects of a project such as timeline and budget and act as a liaison between client and contractor. Full service design includes, but is not limited to site visits, materials selections, hands on interactive meetings with Amy Cortell Interiors, design boards, and to scale 3D renderings!
